Up

This application, which is taken directly from Great Dane rescue groups has several purposes.  Although it helps me in obtaining necessary information for the placement of puppies its purpose first and foremost is to require you to carefully think about Great Dane ownership.  Great Danes are truly magnificent creatures but they are not for everybody.  They are as expensive as they are large.  Due to there size you always need to buy the biggest items, such as food-bowls, collars, crates, dog blankets, dog beds, and bags of food.  Things like medications become exponentially expensive when compared to caring for a smaller breed.  Please carefully consider each answer.  Truly they are more to make sure that they have been brought to your attention and considered than they are to judge you.  I want to know that after much careful and thoughtful consideration you still want a Great Dane.

If you feel that I am being too nosey or asking unnecessary questions then please consider the sheer numbers of Great Danes in rescue.  It is my intention to place each puppy in a permanent home and not have that puppy or any of it's offspring in rescue.
